How can you "own" an image anyone can copy? About NFTs, without hype and without jargon.

An NFT is a digital certificate, recorded on a blockchain, that says you "own" a particular digital item (an image, a clip). Anyone can copy the file, but the ownership certificate is unique.

Value or bubble?

In 2021, some NFTs sold for millions, then many lost nearly all their value — a classic bubble. The question is the same as since tulip mania: does the price reflect real value, or just the hope of reselling higher?
